| Yomut Main Carpet | The aubergine field is covered by a dense repeat of large kepse güls in vibrant and diverse colours, while a Turkmen wavy vine adorns the main border. As is often the case in antique main carpets, the pile-woven elems display different designs. Woven in the symmetric knot, the carpet was probably made by the Yomut although its colours and certain stylistic features are reminiscent of Chodor pieces. Original finishes all around, slight damage to the sides. Several creases and minor repairs. | |
