| Kuba | This small-format rug from the Kuba region has a dark blue field divided into two box-shaped segments. The yellow-ground main border decorated with small stepped polygons also surrounds the two sections, forming a horizontal dividing bar at the centre. Each compartment contains an octagon with a cruciform interior drawing as well as four stepped polygons and small decorative motifs. – Reselvedged, both ends slightly reduced, uniformly low pile. | |

| Rollakan Agedyna | Carriage cushions are called agedyna in Sweden. This beautiful example woven in rollakan technique shows four large, eight-pointed stars interspersed with smaller stars in a blue-black field. At the centre of the field, the date 1808 appears at the top and the weaver’s initials, K R, are seen at the bottom. a lightning design adorns the wide border. A plain red back. – Completely preserved, slight signs of age. | |

| Rajastan Embroidery | An all silk decorative cover from Rajastan, its cream ground embroidered in small red poppy blossoms and three large, star-shaped floral medallions placed along the horizontal central axis. The two outermost panels at the top and bottom ends are decorated with stylised flowering trees. The design was sketched out on the ground in ink and later embroidered; the drawing is still visible in some areas. – Various stained sections and small tears; several of the tiny inserted mirrors are missing. | |

| Ferdows Pictorial Rug | This white-ground pictorial rug depicting four large figures illustrates the famous Persian love story of Khosrow and Shirin. Wearing a blue robe, the princess is seated at the lower end of the field, flanked by two towering female figures. At the upper end of the field King Khosrow, mounted on his legendary warhorse Shabdiz, is galloping over the heads of the lower group on the hunt for wild boar. – New overcasting along the sides, both ends reduced, obvious signs of wear. | |

| Khila | Large, elongated botehs with a cypress-shaped interior drawing have been arranged into a three-row repeat in the midnight blue field, which is densely filled with small flowering plants. The border is composed of four narrow stripes decorated with floral vines. – Signs of age and wear, corroded brown sections, low spots in the pile. Damage to the sides and corners. | |

| Karabagh Prayer Rug | The cochineal field shows a large shield-shaped medallion decorated in the Herati design, while a blue prayer arch curves over a house-like form. The Armenian inscription below is hard to decipher. The prayer arch is flanked by two white hands. The narrow border consists of a simple band of red and white diagonal stripes. Heavily influenced by Persian models in ornamentation, this small prayer rug was woven in the southern region of Azerbaijan. – Original selvedges, the border is missing at both ends. Uniformly low pile. | |
