| Arabachi Chuval | A large Arabachi chuval with field design of shemle designs in brilliant and diverse colours placed within a close-meshed hexagonal lattice. The shemle design is not a typical Arabachi motif. The weaver drew her inspiration from a Saryk or Salor model. – The original upper finish is damaged, the sides have been newly overcast. Somewhat reduced at the bottom, the back is missing. | |

| Khamseh Kelleh | A large Khamseh village rug in kelleh format; the field design consists of narrow vertical stripes, alternately blue and white, and six stepped hexagons linked by a pole accentuating the central axis. At the sides, light red halved diamonds filled with plants, geometric designs and chickens protrude deeply into the field. – Slight signs of age and wear, original but partially damaged sides, remains of red kilims have been preserved at the end finishes. | |

| Luri | A Luri rug from the Fars region woven in kelleh format. The midnight blue field is covered with a hexagonal diamond lattice closely filled with star-shaped blossoms, diamonds, cruciform shapes and a great abundance of small designs, flanked by slender lateral trees. Opie has published a very similar example. – Both ends minimally reduced, original selvedges, good condition. | |

| Baluch | This Baluch shows the strong influence of the neighbouring Turkmen tribes’ weaving culture. Two rows of octagonal güls with a Tekke interior drawing are seen in the brown field, accompanied by a row of large kurbaghe güls placed along the central axis. In contrast, the ornamentation of the three borders has nothing to do with Turkmen models, but is Persian in character. – Heavily damaged sides, the pile is worn away in places, corroded brown sections. | |

| Karakecili | The Karakecili tribe inhabits the mountainous hinterland of the Bergama region. Its knotted rugs, often woven in large formats, are always dark in colour scheme. This remarkable, very well-preserved example showing a rather rare composition of two huge interlocked diamonds was published by Bausback in 1987. The brilliant white frame separating the field from the wide border section is the defining feature of the rug. | |
