| Bijar | The design of Bijar carpets is often influenced by Sehna models, as in this old example knotted on a wool warp in one of the many small workshops of the area. A dense Herati design in reds and blues covers the field, the red border shows palmettes outlined in arabesques connected by a leaf vine. – Good condition. | |

| Bakhtiari Khan Carpet | From the mid 19th century, Bakhtiari tribal leaders, called ""khans"", commissioned carpets with large inscriptions immortalising the name of the client and all his honorifics. In a pioneering article published in HALI, Ian Bennett examined this interesting phenomenon, drawing on rich sources and photo archives. The example offered here, made in the area around Shalamzar judging by its structure, bears the inscription, ""Farmayesh Aqa-e Morteza Quli Khan Bakhtiari, 1314"". Born in 1877, Morteza Quli Khan was 19 years old when he received this carpet. Another carpet made for him, of comparable design and similar colours but much larger dimensions, dated 1331 is illustrated in Bennett´s feature. – Very good condition. | |

| Turkmen Chuval | At first glance, this very rare nine-gül chuval appears to be a Salor weaving, but the palette, wool material and soft, flexible handle contradict this attribution. As the piece does not display any of the characteristic features of Tekke or Saryk chuvals either, a precise attribution to a tribe seems impossible at present. – Sides newly overcast, somewhat reduced at the bottom, otherwise in very good condition. | |

| Karadagh | A very rare, small-format carpet, with botehs on a light red ground and a blue border; judging by its knotting structure and palette, it was made in the Karadagh border region. The main border already shows stylistic influences from the neighbouring Karabagh region. – Good condition. | |
