| Bergama | Probably made as a workshop piece in the Bergama region in the 17th or early 18th century, this antique carpet has a green field densely filled with vines that is dominated by a large, red-ground shield medallion. They differ in their main border design of leaves, whereas the blue-ground border of this example displays elibelinde crosses. Backed with fabric, obvious signs of age, holes of varying sizes. | |
