| Milas Heybe | Complete Milas double bags are great rarities and coveted collectors items. The design of this beautiful example woven in first-rate colours is entirely characterised by elibelinde motifs. The connecting panels of such double bags, called „heybe“ in Anatolia, are notably larger that those of Persian khorjins, with a long, vertical slit down the centre. In this item, the two halves of the connecting panel have been executed in pile technique, whereas they are flatwoven in most other heybes. The original leather trim has survived at both ends. Good condition. | |
