    Half of a small khorjin. The striking field design of four shield palmettes and small star-shaped blossoms on a white ground was particularly popular with the Afshar. Elaborately woven closure band. - Good condition, the plain red kilim back has survived.

    The dark blue field contains a round central medallion composed of a shou symbol surrounded by five large bats as well as four circular floral medallions, each made up of five blossoms and stems, placed in the corners. The wide dark blue border is decorated with floral sprays. Very good quality. – High pile, original finishes all around.

    This white-ground Pao Tao shows a mirror-image design of flowering stems, bowls and two blue containers, arranged around a central circular medallion composed of lotus blossoms and leaves. – Good condition, original selvedges, both ends slightly reduced.

    A seat mat. A large disc medallion lies at the centre of the orange-ground field, and each corner contains a flowering stem. The yellow border shows twigs bearing leaves, blossoms and pomegranates. - Good condition, original selvedges, both ends minimally reduced.

    A saddle bottom rug made up of two halves woven separately and joined at the centre by a strip of blue fabric. The red-brown fields each contain an orange-ground medallion enclosing flowering stems and surrounded by four floral sprays. The centre of the saddle rug is accentuated by an undecorated blue section. The apricot border shows a blue meandering vine decorated with swastikas and blossoms. – Very good condition, edged with a red fabric all around, backed with a blue fabric on the reverse.

    A seat mat. A disc medallion enclosing four swastikas lies on a red ground, the corners contain diagonal stems and a large lotus flower. The border of stems and blossoms has a shou symbol placed in each corner. - Good condition, edged in red velvet all around, the reverse is backed with calico.

    A saddle bottom rug. Two halves woven separately in a design of frog motifs (alternative term: seven-finger pine) and vines on a brown ground, joined by a wide fabric panel. Accentuated, plain green and light blue centre. A white border of blue stems and red cloudbands. – Slight signs of age and wear, good overall condition. The red fabric edging along the sides is worn in places.
