    In the blue-black field, a dense repeat of hooked diamonds drawn in a kilim style have been arranged by colour to form steep gable shapes below the yellow bridge-shaped prayer arch. This arrangement does not continue above the arch. – Both ends slightly reduced, reselvedged sides, low pile, corroded brown.

    This rare prayer rug from the Genje regions displays a design of colourful diagonal stripes which continues above the bridge-shaped arch. All the stripes are decorated with small diamonds. – Uniformly low pile, both finishes at the long sides repiled.

    In this rare early collector’s piece, representations of animals and humans have been incorporated into the basic design and a date, 1240 = 1825 appears at the top end of the field on the left. Only a very few Shekarlu rugs from this early period have survived. – Signs of age and wear, low spots in the pile, several creases. Both ends minimally reduced, original selvedges.

    Two Ersari trappings presenting the dark colours of weavings made before the end of the 19th century. Trapping A is decorated with güls resembling ornamental plates while trapping B shows a shemle repeat. – Good condition.
